Metalith is an easy-to-use yet powerful application that can help you read and analyze meta information from image files. The main features of the program are abilities to compare metadata of multiple files, to search for files containing specific data, and to search unsuitable metadata. The program supports different standards of metadata, as well as different formats of files.

Using
The program reads metadata from graphics files and saves them into metadata file (.meta), as well as files location. Metadata files may be saved and then opened to edit or analyze. You may add or delete some files or directories. Also it is possible to add all files in the selected directory and its subdirectories.
Metadata files may be opened from the program by using File - Open option, or from Explorer by double-click on the metadata file. If you try to open second file it will be opened in the second instance of the program. You can also run two or more instances of the program and create or open in each of them separated file.
The main analyze tool of the program is report, which contains ranked data from all files. Reports may be outputted either into screen or printed with preview, or saved to HTML, XML or TIFF file.
Use profiles to determine the range of data. A profile is the list of tags which used to generate report.
Использование
Металит читает метаданные из графических файлов и сохраняет их в файле метаданных (.meta) вместе с информацией о расположении файлов. Файлы метаданных могут быть сохранены и затем открыты для редактирования или анализа. В процессе редактирования файлы и каталоги могут быть добавлены или удалены. Возможно введение всех файлов в выбранном каталоге и его подкаталогах.
Файл метаданных может быть открыт с помощью опции Файл - Открыть программы, или из Проводника, двойным щелчком по файлу метаданных. Открытие второго файла запустит второй экземпляр программы с новым файлом. Можно также запустить два или более экземпляров программы и в каждом из них создать или открыть отдельный файл.
Главный инструмент анализа метаданных - отчёт, содержащий упорядоченные данные всех файлов. Отчёты могут быть выведены либо на экран, либо на печать с возможностью предпросмотра, либо сохранены в файл HTML, XML или TIFF.
Для определения объёма данных, выводимых в отчёт, применяются профили. Профиль – это перечень тегов, используемый для формирования отчёта.
