С определенным интервалом времени MailBell делает проверку учетных записей электронной почты на предмет наличия новых писем. Как только в вашем почтовом ящике оказывается новое сообщение, на экране появится уведомляющее окно в сопровождении звукового сигнала.
Дополнительно MailBell позволяет просматривать и удалять сообщения, не загружая их на ваш компьютер, а также фильтровать нежелательную почту (спам), используя черный и белый списки отправителей и списки регулярных слов и выражений.
Из приятных особенностей стоит отметить удобно выполненное и хорошо настраиваемое уведомление о приходе почты, позволяющее цветом и шрифтом выделить важные письма или почту с другими специальными характеристиками.
