Анализ производится по содержимому файла, стоит отметить что проверяется именно схожесть звуковой части, используя различные алгоритмы FFT, Wavelet, мат.статистику, т.е. никакого побитового сравнения не производится, поэтому программе необходимо декодировать музыкальный файл. Также программа может сравнивать по значениям ID3, ASF тэгов и имен файлов. Особенностью программы является то что она подсчитывает некую оценку файла и не требует постоянного присутствия носителя с файлом, другими словами файлы для анализа можно указывать на временных носителях CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, flash, они все равно будут участвовать в сравнении корректно.
