В этой версии были обновлены: до версии 4.6.5 обновлен KDE (с добавлением собственных патчей chakra), усовершенствована система определения аппаратных средств, добавлены последние версии драйверов. Среди других изменений: CInstall получил новый интерфейс; обновлена тема Burg; завершена переработка скриптов init; добавлена поддержка systemd; выполнены небольшие исправления некоторых пакетов.
Chakra GNU/Linux 2011.04-r2 использует ядро 2.6.39, стек X.Org 7.6 с Mesa 7.10.3 и X.Org Server 1.10.3.
