Tiffen Dfx входит свыше 2000 разнообразных фильтров, спецэффектов, пресетов, гелей, включая моделирование многих популярных стеклянных фильтров реалистично моделирующий действие фильтров по цвету и плотности, объемности изображения, характерной для диффузионных фильтров. Завсегдатаи дока уже в курсе, что на покупку такого количества фильтров потребовалось бы 300 — 500 тыс. долл, а на их перевозку — грузовик. Harris Shutter
Invented by Robert S. “Bob” Harris of Kodak, the Harris Shutter was originally
a strip device with three color filters used for making color photographs with the
different primary color layers exposed in separate time intervals in succession.
Our digital version of the Harris Shutter uses separate images for the red, green
and blue channels. In the case of a time interval between images used for the
red, green and blue channels, this will generate a rainbow of color around any
object that moves within the frame.
Pastel Converts the image into pastel artwork.
Pearlescent® / Black Pearlescent®
Creates a subtle new look with a slight softening of contrast and a luxurious
pearlescent halo around highlights. This filter aids cinematographers in taking
the edge off the image from modern lenses and cameras, especially with 4K
acquisition sensors.
Black Pearlescent® offers all the benefits of the Pearlescent® filter in a more
subtle form. Highlight flares are controlled and contrast is lowered for a more
delicate effect.
Radial Tint Tints the image using multi-color, radially graduated filters.
Satin® / Black Satin®
Designed with modern digital lenses and camera sensors specifically in mind
to enhance the natural beauty of talent with minimal signs of filtration. This filter
gently adds a minimal flare to highlights and reduces contrast while
suppressing facial blemishes and wrinkles.
Black Satin® offers all the benefits of the Satin® filter in a more subtle form.
This filter gently controls highlights, reduces contrast and adds a grittier look
than regular satin filters, while suppressing facial blemishes and wrinkles.
Tone Adjust
Tone Adjust approximates the appearance of high dynamic range images by
adjusting the tonal values. Specifically, detail is recovered from the darker
portions of the images and can optionally be denoised.
Photo Plug-in and Standalone
Curves
Curves adjusts the entire tonal range of an image by changing the shape of
RGB, Red, Green or Blue curves. Curve points can be adjusted throughout the
range of shadows to highlights.

Color Correct
• Added Hue and Saturation to the Shadows, Midtones, Highlights groups.
• Added Temperature and Cyan/Magenta to the all group.
Diffusion/FX, Glimmerglass, HDTV/FX
Edge aware smoothing algorithms are now used in Diffusion/FX,
Glimmerglass, and HDTV/FX to smooth out fine image details. This is
especially useful for smoothing skin. The result is targeted image smoothing
with greatly simplified operation.
Grad Controls
Added Horizontal and Vertical Strip to the Type menu.
Film Stocks
• Added 93 historical photographic processes and 30 motion picture film stocks.
• Added Curves adjustments to the Dfx interface.
GPU Acceleration
Dfx is now accelerated with OpenCL using your graphics card resulting in
dramatic speed increases.
Floating Point Precision
Dfx can now process in either 32 bit or 16 bit floating point precision. The
benefit of float, for instance in the Standalone when working with camera RAW
or HDR images, is the ability to have a non-destructive workflow. In conjunction
with Dfx’s superior masking tools, floating point precision gives users full
access to the image’s dynamic range on a selective basis without having to clip
values.
Retina Display Support
Support for Mac Retina displays has been added.
Tint Enhancements A Mode menu has been added to select how the tint is applied to the image.
Choices are Normal, Tint, Hue, Darken, Lighten.
User Interface - New Preview Size
A 4096 pixel size was added to the Dfx user interface Preview Size preference.
Images can be now be previewed at 1024, 2048 and 4096 pixels.
Photo Plug-in
Aperture Now Retrieves Dfx Setup Information
Aperture can now retrieve your Dfx setup information consisting of filters, layers
and masks. To do this, apply Dfx and render. If you then apply Dfx to the newly
rendered version, your previous Dfx setup will be shown and can be modified.
This behavior can be disabled via the Save setup with image preference.
Lightroom Now Retrieves Dfx Setup Information
Lightroom can now retrieve your Dfx setup information consisting of filters,
layers and masks. To do this, you need to use “Edit Copy with Lightroom
Adjustments” and render the result. If you then apply Dfx to the newly rendered
version and use “Edit Original”, your previous Dfx setup will be shown and can
be modified. This behavior can be disabled via the Save setup with image
preference.

Brackets Keys for Paint Brush Sizing
You can now use the brackets [] for paint brush sizing.
Standalone
Save Format Preference
A new Save Format preference has been added which preselects the file type
save format. You can choose from Auto, JPG and TIFF. Auto preselects the
image’s original file type as the save format.
TIFF Now Saves Dfx Setups Along With Image When saving to the TIFF file format, you can optionally save the Dfx setup
(filter, layer and mask information) along with the final file. If you then open up
the saved TIFF file, you are able modify the filter, layer and mask information.

Standalone
Camera RAW Image Loading
When camera RAW images are loaded, a Develop filter is automatically applied
as the first layer. Double-click on the bottom, Develop layer’s image imgnail
to edit the camera RAW settings for the image which will appear in the
Parameters tab.
Setups with HDR Images
If you load a setup that contains Develop settings when using a camera RAW
image, you are given the choice to override the current Develop settings.
Fixed Bugs Standalone
Crop Crash - Windows
With the Magnifier open, if you load an image, crop, and then hit the main Reset
button, Dfx stopped responding and shut down.
Full Size Image in Magnifier
If the entire image fit in the magnifier at 100%, Dfx would skip rendering.
Rotation Problem
If you rotated the image from horizontal to vertical, used Save And Resize (from
large to smaller), the image would stretch horizontally.
