Set in a futuristic cartoon-like world where rocketlauncher-wielding pigs and lasergun-carrying cyberpunks roam the streets, Warsow is a completely free fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS).

Speed and movement, that's what Warsow is all about. Like a true cyberathlete you jump, dash, dodge and walljump your way through the game. Grab those power-ups before your enemy does, plant the bomb before anyone sees you, and steal the enemy's flag before anyone knows what's going on!

A handful of popular gametypes come shipped with Warsow, like Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, Clan Arena, Instagib and Duel. Warsow invites you to add to this list, by creating your own custom gametypes with the brand new gametype scripting system!

Warsow 0.5 is finally released after a long time of hard work and a few release candidates tested by YOU, the community. With version 0.5 Warsow reaches a major milestone in its development. Feature-wise and technically, Warsow is now more complete, stable and polished than ever!

Some of the new features in Warsow 0.5:
» Weapon settings, armor settings and movement system have been tweaked and revised
» Weapons can stun players, making them unable to walljump for a short period of time after being hit
» Warsow 0.5 introduces AngelScript gametype scripting, inviting everyone to create their own custom gametypes
» Warsow 0.5 has new maps, textures, playermodels, engine features, visual effects... even a brand new weapon!

- Движения
Игровой процесс War§ow сконцентрирован на скорости, прыжковых трюках и умении двигаться. Все это придаёт огромную глубину интерактивности при движении в 3D-пространстве и предоставляет бесконечные пути для совершенствования игрового навыка. Помимо классических трюков пришедших со сцены Quake, таких как Circle Jump, Strafe Jump, Double Jump, Bunny Hopping, и т.д., War§ow обладает своими Специальными Движениями:
* Wall Jump — Прыжок от стены
* Dash — Рывок
* Dodge — Уклонение
* Ramp Slide — Скольжение по рампе
* Double Dash Jump — Двойной прыжок с рывком
Они все могут быть выполнены при помощи всего лишь двух клавиш, по умолчанию — правый клик и пробел.
- Оружие
Каждое оружие имеет два типа патронов — сильные и слабые. При подборе оружие заряжено слабыми патронами, которые имеют меньший урон. Сильные патроны даются при подборе коробок, расположенных на карте. Режим стрельбы выбирается автоматически в зависимости от того, какие патроны есть у оружия, высший приоритет для сильных патронов.
